The winches use (2) 200 amp solenoids in series. The Cole-Hersee part number for these solenoids is 24143. Standard Cole-Hersee solenoids are rated for 80 amps and WILL stick if used on a Ford long-shaft based sailplane winch. A competing solenoid is available from NAPA Auto Parts under the Echlin/BEHR brand, but I don’t have that part number yet.
